Data Analytics Engineer Hybrid BasingstokeWe''re working with a growing financial services business looking to bring in a Data Analytics Engineer to help build out their data platform from the ground up.You''ll own the end-to-end lifecycle of data products - ingestion, modelling and presentation - working closely with stakeholders across the business to turn raw data into something they can actually use and act on.What you''ll be doing:Designing and building performant data ingestion pipelines using Apache Spark, ideally within Azure DatabricksContributing to the platform''s data modelling and architectureBuilding dashboards and semantic models, and presenting these directly to stakeholdersWorking across the full pipeline from source systems to target repositories, with a strong focus on data qualityCollaborating with Data Scientists to help productionise ML pipelinesOperating within an Agile/DevOps environmentWhat we''re looking for:Strong SQL and Python skillsSolid understanding of Lakehouse architecture and data management principlesHands-on experience with Azure (Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Storage, DevOps)Experience designing Star Schema data models for Power BI5+ years'' experience building data platforms in a commercial settingNice to have:Real-time pipeline experienceAzure Data Engineer certificationExposure to Kafka or other open-source toolsBackground in a regulated industry (finance/insurance)Details:£60,000 - £70,000Permanent positionHybrid ..... full job details .....
