Data Analyst

Merrifield Consultants is recruiting a Data Analyst for a respected professional body. This role sits in a small data insights team, producing evidence and analysis on areas such as membership, students, teachers, awards, research and the wider science landscape.This is a fixed term contract until 31 December 2026, ideally starting as soon as possible.Data AnalystSalary: Between 34,800 to 36,800 pro rata (depending on experience)Hours: 35 hours per weekFixed term contract until December 2026Location: Mostly home based, with monthly team meetings, quarterly meetings and occasional office attendance when neededThe role will involve:Working with messy data and turning it into clear, usable informationUsing Python for data manipulation, analysis and reportingUsing Microsoft tools and AWS for access, storage and workflowsProducing clear visualisations and reportsKeeping KPIs up to dateAnalysing internal data, including membership numbers, awards, students and teachersSupporting general data analysis across projectsWe are looking for someone with:Good data theory and a sound understanding of data structuresStrong data manipulation and reporting experienceConfident Python skillsExperience producing clear visualisationsThe ability to explain findings simply to different audiencesA careful, practical approach to data quality and accuracyThis would suit a Data Analyst who is confident with Python, understands how to work with imperfect data, and wants to work on useful evidence-led ..... full job details .....
