About the Role
Teach South is seeking a Dance Teacher for a secondary school in Rye. This part-time contract role begins September 2026, offering a salary on the MPS1–UPS3 scale. The Role
- Teach Dance across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Deliver engaging practical lessons that encourage creativity, teamwork and self-expression.
- Plan and assess lessons that support students of all abilities to achieve their potential.
- Contribute to school performances, showcases and extracurricular activities where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote a vibrant Performing Arts curriculum.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Dance in a secondary school setting.
- A passion for inspiring young people through the performing arts.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning.
