We are partnering with an Outstanding girls' school in Barnet that is seeking a fantastic temporary, part-time D&T Resistant Materials Teacher to join their thriving department, starting ASAP. This is a brilliant opportunity to inspire creative problem-solving and hands-on craftsmanship in students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with exciting potential for Key Stage 5.

What you'll be doing:

• You'll be designing and delivering engaging D&T Resistant Materials lessons, covering areas like timber, metal, and plastics, from concept to finished product.
• It's about fostering design thinking, encouraging precise craftsmanship, and developing students' understanding of materials and processes.
• You'll maintain a safe and inspiring workshop environment and contribute to innovative design projects.

What we're looking for:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in D&T Resistant Materials.
• Experience teaching engaging and effective D&T Resistant Materials lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 is highly desirable.
• Strong practical skills and a deep understanding of design principles and workshop safety.
• Excellent communication skills, strong classroom and workshop management, and a genuine passion for hands-on design and engineering.
