The role ensures that homes are safe, healthy, and compliant with statutory requirements and organisational standards. Working closely with residents, contractors, and internal teams, the postholder will identify the root causes of defects, specify appropriate remedial works, oversee delivery, and contribute to improving the quality and condition of the housing stock. Key Responsibilities The postholder will undertake inspections of occupied and void properties where damp, mould, condensation, water ingress, or related defects have been reported. They will carry out detailed assessments using sound building pathology principles to determine the underlying causes of defects and distinguish between condensation, penetrating damp, rising damp, plumbing leaks, structural issues, and other forms of moisture ingress.
