      <description>Location: Leicester | Salary: 13624.00-13624.00 Annual | Type: Permanent | Part-Time Domestic Abuse Practitioner - Leicester Location: Leicester Salary: 13,624 per annum Hours: 20 hours per week Contract: Part-Time We are recruiting a compassionate and experienced Domestic Abuse Practitioner to join a specialist domestic abuse hostel/refuge in Leicester, supporting BAME women and their children who are experiencing or fleeing domestic abuse. The Role You will provide practical, emotional and culturally sensitive support to residents, helping them to remain safe, rebuild confidence and move towards greater independence. Key duties include:  Providing one-to-one support to women affected by domestic abuse Completing risk and needs assessments and support plans Safeguarding women and children Supporting residents with housing, benefits and access to services Advocacy and multi-agency working Maintaining accurate case notes and confidential records Supporting the safe day-to-day running of the hostel/refuge  About You Ideally, you will have experience within domestic abuse, women''s refuge, supported housing, safeguarding or a similar support environment.
