The Trust is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Registered Mental Health Nurse to support and lead the development of pathways and care for children and young people with mental health difficulties at Darent Valley Hospital. We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and innovative nurse to join our CYP Service to work as part of our specialist nursing team supporting areas within the hospital where children and young adults may go.The successful candidate will work across CYP services providing leadership in terms of clinical, specialist and holistic support/advice to children and young people with a variety of mental health problems. The post holder will provide relevant specialist mental health training, supervision and debriefing, and acting as the interface between CYP ED, PAU and paediatric and adult wards, and specialist mental health servicesThis post will play a key role in leading and supporting staff with the management of patients experiencing mental health difficulties and providing expert clinical knowledge in the management of mental health issues for children and young people and their families.Main duties of the job

This post is crucial in raising awareness and promoting a wider understanding of Mental Health for CYP, requiring an evidence-based approach to education.We are looking for you to apply if you are a motivated clinical nurse, with knowledge and experience in children and young people\''s mental health problems in an acute or primary care setting. You will have excellent interpersonal, IT and communication skills with the ability to organise, manage and plan your own workload effectively. You will be dedicated and passionate in your role working with children and young people whilst demonstrating excellent leadership and team working. Education and Qualification

RN Mental HealthDegree or equivalent experienceCAMHS module or extensive experienceWorking towards or functioning at master levelLearning Disability qualificationKnowledge and Skills

Knowledge of current clinical evidence based practice within the field of CYP Mental HealthExpert knowledge of the appropriate legislation around Mental Health Act and the legal frameworks within which mental illness can be assessed and treated in CYPProven management and safeguarding experience and knowledge of the Children\''s ActRobust knowledge and understanding of clinical governanceKnowledge of current professional issues relating to nursing and CYP mental healthExperience of applying research evidence to clinical practiceCannulation and phlebotomyExperience
