CYP Domestic Abuse Support Worker
Suitable candidates must have experience working with children within domestic abuse services.It would be advantageous if you hold a driving licence and have your own car as the role involves travelling to schools in the Swansea area and working in the office.Hours: 28 hours per week worked over 4-5 daysThis role is for 1 month initially, with a possible extension until July 31st 2026, extended on a month by month basis.You would need to have a valid Child and Adult DBS on the update service.Previous recent experience of working with children and families.Experience of 1 : 1 sessions and group work.Ability to identify and respond to the specific emotional and practical needs of children and young people.Supporting children and young people suffering from/been exposed to domestic abuse.Establish and maintain accurate up to date recordsEssential:NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or working towards one.Experience of supporting women and children from differing cultural and social backgrounds.Understanding/experience of the causes and the long term effects of domestic abuse.Experience of managing challenging behaviour and conflict.Desirable:Ability to speak WelshGood understanding/experience/qualification of Mental Health, Self-Harm, Drug/Alcohol Abuse, LGBTQ+, CounsellingVibe Recruit is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy. ..... full job details .....
