Cycling Instructor

The starting salary for this position is -16.92 per hour (-14.72 per hour, plus -2.20 per hour annual leave allowance).

We are currently seeking Cycling Instructors to join our Cycle Training Team. If you can ride a cycle competently and would like to help both children and adults, please apply! We especially encourage you to apply if you can work in Guildford or Runnymede.

About the Role

Surrey County Council is an accredited scheme. We train around 11,000 people each year.

As a Cycling Instructor, you will be using your empathy and engagement skills to help learners take the big step of cycling on the road in traffic. You''ll always work alongside at least one other Instructor, providing mutual support.

You don''t need to be a super-fit sports cyclist to apply for this role; you will just need to be competent at cycling around town. You will be helped in to the role, first observing other Instructors at work, then being an extra Instructor, then receiving support visits from our Assurer Instructors.
