Cyber Security Specialist - 6 months Contract - £450/day via umbrella company - Hybrid Birmingham- SCC FLEX CONTRACT We are seeking a motivated and technically capable Cyber Security Specialist to join our Cyber Security Operations team. This role is responsible for helping protect the organisation through the implementation and management of security controls, threat detection and response, security monitoring, and cyber security project delivery. Working closely with IT teams and stakeholders, the Cyber Security Engineer will play a key role in reducing cyber risk and strengthening security across the business. Your responsibilities as a Cyber Security Specialist: Implement and maintain cyber security controls, including XDR, vulnerability management, and privileged access management solutions. Act as an escalation point for security incidents, alerts, and security-related requests. Perform threat hunting, security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management activities. Support cyber security projects, including security tooling implementations and system hardening initiatives. Ensure security tools are deployed, configured, and operating effectively across business environments. Support offensive security activities, including penetration testing, red team exercises, and tabletop simulations.
