Cyber Security Operations ManagerExeter - REMOTE£800 per day Umbrella Initially 6-month contract Mon-Fri Certain Advantage is working in partnership with a leading public organisation seeking an SOC Manager to design, implement and continuously improve the department''s Security Operations strategy, ensuring rapid detection, response and recovery from cyber threats and incidents. What will you be doing? Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing SOC analyst team, using the career framework to identify learning needs and map progression paths. Own the full incident lifecycle-detection, triage, escalation, containment, and resolution-run post-incident reviews, and drive continual improvements through regular exercises. Serve as the escalation point for alerts; prioritise and direct enhancements to monitoring coverage and detection rules across key technologies and threats. Monitor emerging threats and techniques, integrate actionable intel into security practices, and communicate key insights to relevant stakeholders. Strong leadership track record: builds, mentors, and directs high-performing analyst and engineering teams.
