      <description>Location: Leeds | Salary: 60000.00-60000.00 Annual | Type: Permanent | Cyber Security EngineerJob DescriptionThis is a hands-on Cyber Security Engineer role within a dedicated cyber security function for our end client based in city centre Leeds. You will play a key role in cyber security operations, threat detection, incident response and continuous improvement across cloud, endpoint, identity and data platforms. The position combines deep technical work with the opportunity to influence secure solution design and strengthen security controls. This is a hybrid opportunity requiring 3 days per week in the Leeds office, so candidates must be willing and able to commute weekly. ResponsibilitiesSupport the day-to-day cyber security operations, including security monitoring, threat detection and incident response activities.Investigate and respond to security incidents.Engineer and support the Microsoft Sentinel estate, improving visibility, alert quality and overall response capability.Monitor and assess threat vectors.Work effectively with the Security Operations Centre (SOC)/MDR provider to support monitoring and continuous service improvement.Support the investigation of complex or high-severity incidents, escalating appropriately and focusing on miti...</description>
