We are offering a one-year placement as an Undergraduate Cyber Security Analyst and the role provides a chance to contribute to keeping the UK safe and secure.Entry requirements: as an Undergraduate Student within the Cyber Soc Team, you will work in an exciting and growing area of Cyber Security.Responsibilities
Monitor for external and internal threats in traditional networks and cloud environments.Threat hunting, incident response, forensics and investigation performed by the Cyber SOC to protect AWE assets.Contribute to defining what is monitored and how we respond to threats; support self-development to maintain knowledge and skills.Qualifications
Students studying towards a degree in Information Technology, Computer Networks and Security, Cyber Security and Mathematics or similar with an interest or specialism in Cyber Security.Evidence of a minimum 2:2 in your degree by August 2026.Must be able to join AWE in August 2026. Information Services (IT) provides the People, Processes and Technology to collect and manage AWE’s Data, Knowledge and Information, enabling efficient retrieval and supporting National Nuclear Security.The Cyber SOC’s mission is to protect AWE assets by detecting and responding to cyber threats.Benefits
