Cyber Security Analyst Apprentice

Working alongside experienced IT and cyber security professionals, you will gain practical, hands-on experience protecting systems, networks, and business data from cyber threats while studying towards a recognised cyber security apprenticeship qualification.

KEY DUTIES

• Monitor IT systems and networks for security incidents and potential threats.
• Assist with vulnerability assessments and basic security audits.
• Support the implementation of cyber security controls and best practices.
• Help investigate suspicious system activity and security alerts.
• Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Support the deployment and maintenance of anti-virus, endpoint protection, and security software.
• Learn how to identify phishing attacks, malware threats, and social engineering risks.
• Assist with patch management and software updates.
• Help maintain security documentation, reports, and incident records.
• Provide first-line support to customers for cyber security and IT-related queries.
• Adhere to company policies relating to data protection, cyber security, and information governance.
