The Assignment

We have an immediate requirement for a Cutting Table Operator to join a busy manufacturing and distribution operation in Solihull.
This is an ongoing temporary position with the opportunity to secure a permanent role after 12 weeks for the right candidate.
Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates with machine operating, manufacturing, warehouse or production experience who are looking to develop specialist skills.


What the Work Involves

Working as part of the production team, your duties will include:
- Operating and monitoring cutting table machinery to ensure products are processed accurately
- Measuring, preparing and positioning materials for cutting in line with production requirements
- Performing quality checks to ensure products meet specification standards
- Maintaining production records and reporting any faults or issues to supervisors
- Ensuring machinery and work areas are kept clean, organised and safe
- Supporting material movement and handling activities within the production area
- Following all site health andamp; safety and operational procedures
- Undertaking any other reasonable duties as requested by management


Hours, Shifts andamp; Pay

Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm to 10:00pm
Pay rate: £13.50 per hour
Pay frequency: Weekly
Holiday pay: Accrued and paid weekly


What We Need From You

- Previous experience operating machinery within a manufacturing, production or warehouse environment would be advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately to measurements and specifications
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn, with full training provided
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures
- FLT Reach Truck licence advantageous but not essential
- Reliable, punctual and capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Right to work in the UK - documentation will be required before start
