About the Role

We are seeking an experienced-Customs Clerk-to join our industry leading client in the-Worcestershire-area.

This role involves handling-Multimodal Customs Clearance-from-Start to Finish, in particular-covering predominantly-Ocean Import Customs-however experience on-Air, Road Freight Customs-will also be beneficial. The ideal candidate will ensure all shipments comply with UK and international customs regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Process import and export customs declarations for Air, Sea, and Road freight.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and customs requirements.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and government agencies.
• Manage customs documentation and duty/VAT calculations.
• Stay up to date with CDS, CHIEF, and industry regulations.
• Provide customer updates and resolve customs-related queries.

Key Requirements

• Previous experience as a Customs Clerk in freight forwarding or logistics.
• Experience of dealing with Perishable Cargo would be a bonus.
• Proficiency with customs systems such as-CDS-and-Cargowise-would be a bonus
• Understanding of commodity codes, duties, VAT, and trade agreements.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
