The Role
As a Customer Service Specialist, you will be the main point of contact for customers, managing the complete order lifecycle from order placement through to delivery. You''ll work closely with planning, logistics, production, quality, finance, and sales teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer orders from receipt through to delivery.
- Monitor customer requirements and communicate any delays or changes proactively.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, returns, and service requests.
- Coordinate urgent shipments where required and track progress through to delivery.
- Work with finance teams to support invoice queries, credit notes, and debit notes.
- Monitor stock levels and support inventory management activities.
- Continuously identify and implement improvements to customer service processes.
What We''re Looking For
- Minimum of 3 years'' experience in a customer service or customer account management role.
- Previous experience within manufacturing, packaging, supply chain, or a similar environment would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
- Experience of ERP/CRM systems, SAP, Salesforce, and strong Excel skills would be beneficial.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
