We''re looking for a proactive and professional Customer Service Operative to join our busy, friendly team in Droitwich. This is a great opportunity to step into a varied, people-focused role where no two days are the same.

About Our Client:

Our client, a well-established provider in the Storage & Distribution industry, is seeking a Customer Service Operative to join their team in Droitwich. They are a highly successful, well-established family-owned business who are extremely proud of their history! The business has always aimed to be at the forefront of the logistics sector reflected by a series of firsts and industry awards. As a Customer Service Operative, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Customer Service Manager and ensuring the smooth daily operation of the department.

About the Role

  • Monday to Friday, 07:45-16:45
  • No evening or weekend work
  • Full training provided
  • Office-based role in a countryside location (candidates must have suitable travel arrangements due to no nearby public transport links)
  • Opportunity to work alongside the current post-holder before handover at the end of May

What You''ll Be Doing

  • Be part of a busy Goods In operation, supporting the Customer Service Manager with the smooth booking in and processing of deliveries and collections, always putting safety first
  • Act as a friendly and professional point of contact for customers, drivers, hauliers, and colleagues, helping everything run smoothly through clear, confident communication
  • Keep key customer and operational information accurate and up to date using warehouse and office systems, helping wider teams make informed decisions
  • Work closely with a supportive customer service team to hit daily service targets and deliver a reliable, high?quality experience for customers
  • Help resolve customer queries and issues by working with different departments and seeing problems through to a positive outcome
  • Get involved in general admin, invoicing support, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to suggest better ways of working and develop your skills

What We''re Looking For

  • Experience in customer service or a similar busy office/public-facing environment
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, positive approach
  • Good telephone manner and the confidence to liaise across departments
  • Competence in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to learn internal software systems quickly
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and time management
  • Awareness of health and safety practices
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a small, collaborative team
