About the Role

Based in Wembdon, this Customer Service Agent role offers £12.87 per hour on a full-time, temporary contract. Working Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00, the successful candidate will handle inbound calls covering complaints, queries and orders within the trade supplies and DIY sector. Duties include resolving customer complaints professionally, processing orders, addressing order-related issues and keeping customers informed. Strong communication, listening and problem-solving abilities are essential, alongside a commitment to delivering high standards of service. The position runs for six months, with a twelve-week temp-to-perm period, giving the right person a genuine route into permanent employment.

We are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Agent to join an established business operating within the trade supplies and DIY sector.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy customer service team, supporting customers with a range of enquiries and ensuring they receive a professional and efficient service.
Key Responsibilities:

Handling inbound calls from customers regarding complaints, queries and orders.
Dealing with customer complaints professionally and working towards positive resolutions.
Assisting with order processing and resolving order-related issues.
Providing accurate information and keeping customers updated.
Delivering a high standard of customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

Previous customer service or contact centre experience is desirable.
Confident communicating with customers over the telephone.
Able to handle complaints and challenging conversations professionally.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
A positive attitude with a customer-focused approach.
