About the Role
A Customer Coordinator position is available in Kingswinford, offering a full-time, temp-to-perm contract with an hourly rate between £13.46 and £15.38. Working Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, you will serve as the essential link between B2B clients and internal teams, including Production and Planning. Your responsibilities will include processing customer orders, managing enquiries, and ensuring smooth communication across departments. This role requires strong organisational abilities and a proactive approach to service delivery. Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is beneficial. About the RoleWe are looking for a proactive, organised and customer-focused Customer Coordinator to join our growing manufacturing and engineering business. Working with business-to-business (B2B) clients, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service while supporting the smooth flow of customer orders through the business.
Working alongside Senior Management, you will act as the vital link between customers and our internal departments, bridging the gap between customer enquiries and operational teams including Production, Planning, Purchasing, Logistics, Warehouse and Sales. You will coordinate customer orders from enquiry through to delivery, ensuring customers receive accurate information, realistic lead times and outstanding service throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer enquiries via telephone and email, delivering outstanding customer service.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with B2B customers and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate customer orders from enquiry through to delivery.
- Liaise daily with Production, Planning, Purchasing, Logistics and Warehouse teams to monitor order progress.
- Monitor manufacturing schedules and delivery performance to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Allocate available stock to customer orders and prioritise urgent customer requirements.
- Update customer order reports and ERP systems with accurate information.
- Investigate order delays and communicate revised delivery schedules.
- Provide customers and the Sales Team with proactive updates on order status, lead times and deliveries.
- Coordinate priority customer orders and work closely with internal departments to achieve the earliest possible delivery dates.
- Arrange stock availability checks and communicate inventory levels.
- Resolve customer queries efficiently, escalating issues where necessary.
- Ensure all customer communications are professional, accurate and completed within agreed response times.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Previous experience in Customer Service, Customer Coordination, Sales Support, Internal Sales, Order Processing or Supply Chain Coordination.
- Experience within a Manufacturing, Engineering, Production or Industrial environment is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems would be advantageous.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- A proactive, positive and team-focused approach.
- £28,000–£32,000 per annum (£13.46–£15.38 per hour), depending on experience.
