Learning Support Assistant (LSA)-Culinary Skills Job Type: Part-time (Agency)- (3 days Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9 to 5. 8 hours per day less 1 hour lunch) Location: Orpington, Kent Salary: £15.55 - £17.75 per hour Start Date: ASAP Vacancy ID: 1806 We are currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team, providing essential 1:1 support to a student enrolled in a Level 1 introductory culinary course. This role is crucial for helping young people and adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to access and achieve within their educational programmes. Day-to-day of the role: Provide person-centred support to learners with a range of complex needs, including severe learning difficulties and disabilities. Assist learners with personal care or mobility as needed, always ensuring to approach each task with sensitivity, respect, and dignity. Work closely with individuals or small groups, adapting your style to meet diverse needs and encouraging learners to develop independence. Support the development of learning and study skills in alignment with outcomes identified in their Educational Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Required Skills and Qualifications: Strong literacy and numeracy skills. Proven ability to build positive, trust-based relationships with learners, staff, parents/carers, and professionals.
