      <description>Location: Appleton | Salary: Negotiable | Type: Permanent | Cryogenics Engineer     Join Quantum Design Oxford and help develop cryogenic technology used by leading R&amp;D scientists worldwide. To support increasing demand, we are looking for an experienced Cryogenics Engineer to support innovative projects in areas such as quantum computing, astrophysics and dark matter research.    In this varied role, you will adapt and enhance our product range to meet customer requirements, designing bespoke elements for complex cryogenic systems and working closely with colleagues and customers on high-impact scientific projects.    You will take technical responsibility for projects from quotation through to delivery, installation and servicing. This will include concept design, specifications and costings, risk identification, build and test documentation, product improvements and support for customer issues.    You will have a strong engineering background and experience in cryogenic design, ideally including liquid helium refrigeration. Practical experience is valued as highly as formal qualifications.
