We''ve got a brilliant role for an M&E Engineer to work within a data centre. No prior experience within a data centre required! This is a brilliant opportunity to gain more exposure to critical equipment, work for a leading service provider and work within a state of the art data centre! With proven progression on this contract, having other engineers on site put through additional training courses.
For this M&E Engineer position, you will carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, ensure critical plant is working efficiently, troubleshoot / fault find, liaise with subcontractors and assist in site shutdowns / blackouts.
M&E Engineer Duties:
- PPMs & Reactive maintenance
- Statutory Compliance
- Single and Three Phase Power, Motors, Generators, Shutdowns, Switchgear, Motors, Emergency Lighting, Fire Alarm Test, AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, Sprinkler Systems, Pumps, Belts, BMS Operation
- Carry out isolation of plant and systems in accordance with safety requirements.
- Ensure corrective/repair works are carried out in accordance with regulations.
- Endorse safe working practices, quality standards conformity and best practice methods.
- Organising subcontractors
- Completing logbooks and RAMS
- Reports
- Permits to work
- Raise and close jobs on PDA''s as necessary.
M&E Engineer Requirements:
- Fully qualified in either an Electrical or Mechanical related qualification (C&G / EAL , NVQ or equivalent)
- At least 3 years experience as an M&E Engineer within a commercial environment
- Knowledge of M&E equipment
- Apprentice trained - Desirable
- Knowledge and experience within a critical environment - Desirable
Salary and Package:
- £47,000 per annum
- Monday - Friday, 7am - 4pm
- 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
