The service provides a safe and secure environment for individuals at risk of reaching crisis point within their mental health. It operates from 6pm-1am, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and the sole purpose of the service is to reduce individuals being hospitalised, and dependency on AandE departments and police resources. This will be a social model of support with staff team expected to utilise appropriate de-escalation and support techniques whilst promoting clients abilities to manage their own coping strategies.
