Criminal Solicitor – Nottingham (Hybrid)An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Criminal Solicitor to join a highly regarded and well-established firm with offices across the East Midlands. This role offers the chance to work within a dedicated and expert Criminal Defence team, handling a wide range of matters from police station representation through to Crown Court advocacy.The Role:As a Criminal Solicitor, you will play a key role in providing professional, accessible and supportive advice to clients at what is often a very challenging time. The work will cover:Police station attendance and representationMagistrates’ Court and Crown Court advocacyPreparation and progression of criminal defence cases, from minor offences to serious crimeAdvising on areas including assaults, drugs offences, motoring offences, theft and fraud, sexual offences, and regulatory mattersYou will have the opportunity to manage your own caseload with support from an experienced team of colleagues, and will also have access to excellent facilities to support hybrid working.About You:Qualified Solicitor or equivalent with experience in Criminal Defence workDuty accreditation desirable, but not essentialStrong advocacy, client care and communication skillsAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative teamCommercial awareness and an understanding of Legal Aid funding would be advantageousWhat’s on Offer:Competitive salary (dependent on experience)Hybrid working optionsA supportive team environment with genuine progression opportunitiesOpportunity to work across a wide and varied criminal caseloadThis is a fantastic opportunity for a Criminal Solicitor who is passionate about defence work and looking for the next step in their career.
