A leading law firm is seeking a Criminal Lawyer to join their expanding Criminal Defence team in Dudley. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress their career in criminal law, police station representation, and court advocacy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied criminal defence caseload

  • Attend police stations, providing legal advice and representation

  • Conduct advocacy in the Magistrates’ Court, including bail applications, case management hearings, and trials

  • Prepare cases, liaise with clients, and undertake criminal litigation tasks

  • Qualified Solicitors: Participate in the Duty Solicitor Rota

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Qualified Solicitor or Trainee Solicitor close to qualification

  • Experience or strong exposure to criminal law, police station work, or court advocacy

  • Confidence in communication, client care, and case preparation

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong commitment to providing high-quality legal services

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Duty Solicitor accreditation (full support available for those seeking accreditation)
