The Role The successful candidate will handle a broad range of criminal defence matters, including: Representing clients detained at police stations Managing a caseload covering the full spectrum of criminal offences Conducting advocacy in the Magistrates'' Court, including summary trials Working within a fast-paced environment while maintaining high professional standards Candidate Requirements Solicitor with 1+ year PQE in criminal matters Police Station Representative qualification Criminal Litigation Accreditation preferred (or willingness to obtain it) Strong advocacy and communication skills Confident managing a demanding caseload with minimal supervision IT proficient and comfortable using case management systems Pragmatic, professional, and positive approach to work Passion for publicly funded legal work Excellent client care and team-working skills Ability to remain calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines Why Apply?
