Crematorium Technician Ballygowan Road, Crossnacreevy, Belfast BT5 7TZ 15.82 per hour (PAYE)37 hours per week Hatched Recruitment Group is recruiting a Crematorium Technician to join Belfast City Council''s Bereavement Services team on a temporary basis. This is a meaningful role supporting families at one of the most difficult times in their lives. You''ll help make sure every service is carried out with dignity, care and respect. What you''ll be doing:Receiving funerals and welcoming mourners, funeral directors and ministers with tact and compassionPreparing the chapel for each service, assisting during services and operating music, webcasting and audio-visual equipmentCarrying out identification checks and operating cremator equipment in line with legal requirements and codes of practiceRoutine cleaning, checks and minor maintenance of cremators and ancillary equipmentHandling, storing and preparing cremated remains for collection or disposalKeeping accurate records and completing cremation paperworkKeeping the chapel, waiting rooms and grounds clean and presentable throughout the day What you''ll need:At least one year''s workplace experience in each of the following areas:working in a professional bereavement services environmentproviding advice and support to customers in a sympathetic and sensitive mannercarrying out administrative duties, including keeping accurate recordsStrong customer care and communication skillsGood work planning and a basic understanding of ..... full job details .....
