Are you an experienced Credit Controller looking for a role where you can take ownership of your ledger while being part of a friendly, close-knit finance team?

SF Partners are currently recruiting for a Credit Controller to join an established business based in Nottingham City Centre. This is a varied role offering much more than simply chasing debt - you''ll have responsibility for your own ledger, work closely with customers and internal teams, and get involved in wider finance.

What you''ll be doing:

• Managing a busy Sales Ledger 
• Building relationships with customers and proactively chasing outstanding payments
• Resolving invoice queries and disputes
• Issuing statements and payment reminders
• Daily cashbook posting and reconciliation across three bank accounts
• Supporting month-end Sales Ledger close and reporting
• Calculating bad debt provisions
• Raising invoices and credit notes
• Processing online card payments
• Tracking customer deposits and ensuring VAT compliance
• Working closely with other departments to resolve customer queries and returns
• Providing occasional support across the wider finance team
• Representing Finance in internal meetings

What we''re looking for:

You''ll ideally have previous experience within Credit Control/Sales Ledger and be comfortable managing a busy ledger independently. You''ll be confident communicating with customers, organised in your approach and happy working as part of a small team where everyone supports one another.
