Credit Controller

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join a busy and fast-paced finance team based in Birmingham City Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual who enjoys building strong customer relationships, managing a high-volume ledger, and driving cash collection performance. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external clients, you will play a key role in maintaining cash flow, resolving account queries, and ensuring outstanding balances are collected efficiently. Key Responsibilities Managing a high-volume portfolio of customer accounts. Chasing outstanding debt via telephone, email, and written correspondence. Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers to ensure timely payment of invoices. Investigating and resolving invoice queries and payment disputes. Allocating incoming payments and reconciling customer accounts. Negotiating payment plans where appropriate. Monitoring aged debt reports and escalating overdue accounts when necessary. Producing regular debtor reports for management. Working closely with operational teams to resolve billing issues and remove barriers to payment. Maintaining accurate customer account records and detailed collection notes. Supporting month-end processes and cash flow reporting activities. About You Previous Credit Control experience is essential. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Confident liaising with customers and stakeholders at all levels. ..... full job details .....
