Credit Controller

Robert Half Talent Solutions are recruiting for a Credit Controller for a highly successful, expanding organization to join their growing finance team. This office-based role in Pontypool offers a collaborative team environment and excellent working hours, including a early finish on Fridays.Key ResponsibilitiesDebt Management: Monitor accounts receivable daily to ensure timely client payments.Proactive Chasing: Contact customers via phone, email, and letter to recover overdue invoices.Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date communication logs in the accounting system.Query Resolution: Resolve billing discrepancies internally and externally to secure payments.Team Support: Assist the Senior Credit Controller with administrative tasks and debt reporting.Payment Allocation: Cross-train to process and allocate incoming payments during cover periods.Risk Escalation: Identify and flag high-risk or problematic accounts to senior management.RequirementsExperience: A strong, proven track record in dedicated credit control positions.Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for professional customer relationship management.Organization: High attention to detail with strong record-keeping and administrative skills.Type: Full-time, PermanentSalary: £31,000 per annumHours: Mon-Thu 8am-4pm, Fri 9am-1pmLocation: Office-based, PontypoolRobert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
