Credit Controller

As a Credit Controller in Southampton, you''ll play a key role in managing the company''s finances by ensuring timely payments and maintaining healthy customer accounts. This role is essential to supporting the smooth running of the accounting and finance operations within the transport and distribution industry. Client Details A transport and distribution company based in Southampton. Description Manage and monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments. Conduct credit checks and set up new customer accounts. Resolve payment queries and disputes efficiently. Prepare and distribute accurate account statements. Work closely with the sales and finance teams to address account issues. Maintain accurate records of all account activity. Produce regular reports on outstanding debts and cash flow. Ensure compliance with company credit policies and procedures. Profile A successful Credit Controller should have: Experience in credit control or a similar accounting and finance role. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities. Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, especially Excel. The ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Job Offer Salary ranging from £30,000 to £35,000, dependent on the level of experience. Permanent position based in Southampton.
