Credit Controller

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our clients busy finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong experience of collections who enjoys working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. The successful candidate will be confident making outbound telephone calls, building rapport with customers, and negotiating positive payment outcomes.Job Title: Credit ControllerLocation: WokinghamSalary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)Key ResponsibilitiesManage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balancesContact customers by phone, email, and letter to recover overdue paymentsNegotiate payment arrangements and resolve account queriesMonitor aged debt and take action to minimise credit risk and improve cash flowMaintain accurate customer records and update internal systemsEscalate complex accounts where necessarySupport cash allocation, account reconciliations, and other finance administration tasksEnsure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirementsContribute to team targets and service standardsSkills and ExperiencePrevious experience in Credit Control, Collections, Accounts Receivable, or a similar roleStrong communication, negotiation, and customer service skillsAbility to manage multiple accounts and prioritise workload effectivelyGood attention to detail and problem-solving skillsCompetent in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelExperience ..... full job details .....
