Credit Controller

Position: Credit Controller Type: Permanent Location: Bristol Salary £28 - £30K plus benefits. Ref: (phone number removed) HSB Technical is supporting an established financial services business in the recruitment of a Credit Controller. The successful candidate will manage client sales ledgers across a varied portfolio, ensuring debts are collected promptly, records remain accurate and queries are resolved professionally. Working closely with the Relationship Manager and wider operations team, you will help maintain ledger quality, improve client cash flow and highlight potential risks at an early stage. This role requires strong communication, attention to detail and the confidence to balance excellent customer service with effective debt recovery. Key responsibilities Set up and maintain accurate client files for credit control purposes. Manage a portfolio of client accounts and develop a good understanding of each client''s business. Chase and verify outstanding debts against agreed monthly targets using telephone, email and written correspondence. Agree repayment plans where appropriate and with the required management approval. Recommend accounts for legal referral where necessary and in line with internal procedures. Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all customer interactions on internal systems.
