Credit Controller

Our client, a well-established and growing business based in Blackburn, is looking to recruit an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and results-driven individual to take ownership of the credit control function and play a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow across the business.The RoleReporting to the Finance Manager, the Credit Controller will be responsible for managing customer accounts, reducing aged debt, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging and maintaining the sales ledger Chasing outstanding debts by telephone, email, and written correspondence Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers Allocating incoming payments and reconciling customer accounts Investigating and resolving invoice queries and disputes Producing aged debt reports and monitoring debtor balances Setting up new customer accounts and conducting credit checks Assisting with month-end reporting and cash flow forecasting Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties The Successful CandidatePrevious experience in a Credit Controller role Strong communication and negotiation skills Proven ability to reduce aged debt and improve cash collection Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Good working knowledge of Excel and accounting systems Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload What''s on OfferCompetitive salary of £30,000 to ..... full job details .....
