Credit Controller

Its a new year and perhaps time for a new start? We are recruiting a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our clinets Finance team on a 12 month contract. The role is responsible for managing and resolving a regional debtor ledger of approximately 1.5 million, covering both current and legacy debt. Key Responsibilities Proactively manage and collect trade debtor balances across the business in a timely manner Take ownership of a regional ledger of c. 1.5m, including both current and legacy debt Liaise with care homes, next of kin, Local Authorities, and NHS bodies to facilitate cash collection Manage multiple payment methods including invoicing, portal submissions, direct debits, and scheduled remittances Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all communications and financial transactions Conduct regular telephone follow-ups with stakeholders to resolve queries and chase outstanding balances Review Top 50 debtor accounts on a weekly basis Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies promptly Provide regular reports on debt status, recovery progress, and cash collection performance Achieve targeted cash collection objectives Support other members of the finance team as required Undertake additional duties as directed by the Credit Manager Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Expertise Essential: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in records and transactions Strong Excel skills and experience with ..... full job details .....
