Credit Controller

Role: Credit Controller Location: Milton Keynes (Office-Based but some flex) Salary: £27,000 - £31,000 A great opportunity has opened for a proactive Credit Controller to join a fast-paced finance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a high-volume environment, taking ownership of their ledger, and playing a key part in maintaining strong cash flow. You''ll be responsible for managing customer accounts end-to-end, ensuring timely collections, minimising risk, and resolving queries efficiently.Key Responsibilities:Manage and collect outstanding invoices in line with agreed payment termsMonitor aged debt and follow up on overdue accountsAssess new and existing customer credit applicationsSet up and maintain accurate customer account recordsReview and adjust credit limits based on risk assessmentsCarry out regular credit checks using external toolsInvestigate and resolve invoice and payment queriesNegotiate payment plans where neededEscalate high-risk or problematic accountsMaintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholdersSupport continuous improvement across credit control processesKey requirements: Experience in credit control within a high-volume, fast-moving environmentConfident communicator, comfortable chasing and negotiating paymentsStrong attention to detail and organisational skillsAbility to manage workload and prioritise effectivelyExperience using finance systems (ERP knowledge beneficial)A proactive and solutions-focused ..... full job details .....
