We are recruiting for a Credit Controller to join a well-established business on an initial temporary basis, with the opportunity for a permanent role for the right candidate.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who can hit the ground running and work with minimal supervision. The business operates in a busy, transaction-heavy environment, managing a substantial customer ledger and requiring strong credit management processes to maintain healthy cash flow.

The Role
You will take ownership of a high-volume, high-value ledger, proactively chasing outstanding payments and maintaining strong customer relationships.

The successful candidate will be confident working at pace, prioritising effectively, and resolving payment queries professionally while supporting wider finance operations during a busy period.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume customer ledger with significant outstanding balances
• Chase overdue payments via phone and email
• Monitor aged debt and take appropriate action to reduce arrears
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers
• Resolve invoice and payment queries efficiently
• Allocate cash and reconcile customer accounts
• Produce debtor reports and support cash flow management
• Assist the wider finance team as required

About You

• Proven experience as a Credit Controller
• Experience managing high-volume, high-value ledgers
• Confident working independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Organised, proactive and resilient
• Comfortable working in a busy, fast-moving environment
