Ascent Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a market leader in Manchester-to recruit an experienced Credit Controller.

The Role

• Managing your own portfolio of client accounts, ensuring outstanding debt is collected in a timely and professional manner.

• Working towards and achieving monthly cash collection targets through proactive credit control activities.

• Building strong relationships with clients to deliver an excellent level of customer service while maintaining effective credit control.

• Investigating and resolving invoice and billing queries by liaising with internal departments to ensure prompt resolution.

• Reconciling customer accounts, identifying outstanding balances and resolving any discrepancies using Excel.

• Producing and issuing monthly customer statements.

• Monitoring daily cash receipts and ensuring account information is accurate and up to date.

• Processing credit notes following the appropriate approval process.

• Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc credit control and accounts receivable activities as required.

About You

To be considered, you''ll ideally have:

• Previous Credit Control experience within a medium or large organisation.

• A proven track record of achieving collection targets and reducing outstanding debt.

• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to build relationships at all levels.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.

• Good attention to detail and a methodical approach.

• Strong Excel skills.

• A proactive, positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
