Credit Controller

Alexander Lloyd are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Credit Controller to join a finance team on a temporary basis for 3-6 months. This role is based in Epsom and will focus heavily on managing outstanding debt through high volume inbound and outbound calls, ensuring timely payment from customers while maintaining strong professional relationships. This is a fast-paced position suited to someone confident on the phone, organised, and comfortable managing a busy ledger. Key ResponsibilitiesManaging and collecting outstanding debt across a high-volume customer ledgerMaking high volumes of outbound calls to customers to secure prompt paymentBuilding and maintaining positive relationships with customers while resolving payment queriesChasing overdue invoices and negotiating payment plans where requiredReconciling accounts and allocating incoming paymentsEscalating problematic accounts where necessaryMaintaining accurate records of all collection activity on internal systemsSupporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties Skills and ExperiencePrevious Credit Control experience in a high-volume environmentConfident communicator with strong telephone collection skillsComfortable making large numbers of calls dailyStrong attention to detail and good organisational skillsAbility to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectivelyExperience using accounting systems and Excel is desirable What''s on OfferCompetitive up to 32,000 salary, hourly rate equivalent ..... full job details .....
