Crane Supervisor - Marine ProjectLocation: Newhaven, East SussexContract: 6 monthsRate: 25.00 per hourCrane: 130-ton craneStart: Immediate / ASAP We are currently looking for an experienced Crane Supervisor to join a marine construction project in Newhaven. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing lifting operations involving a 130-ton crane, ensuring all lifting activities are carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with the relevant lifting plans, procedures and site requirements. Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise crane and lifting operations on a busy marine construction project. Ensure lifting operations are carried out safely and in accordance with approved lift plans. Coordinate crane operators, banksmen/signallers and other lifting personnel. Ensure lifting equipment and accessories are suitable and properly inspected. Liaise with site management, lifting teams and other contractors. Monitor exclusion zones and maintain safe working practices. Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety requirements. Report any issues or unsafe practices to site management. Maintain accurate lifting and site documentation. RequirementsPrevious experience as a Crane Supervisor on construction, marine or heavy lifting projects. Experience supervising large crane operations, ideally 100-ton+ capacity.
