Cover Tutor- HMP HighpointPermanentSalary: 30,000 per annumAre you an adaptable, confident educator looking for a role where your teaching genuinely makes a difference?About the RoleWe are seeking a versatile Cover Tutor to join an education provider in the justice sector, stepping in to deliver learning within a prison education setting whenever a scheduled tutor is unavailable. This is a unique opportunity to support learners on their rehabilitation journey, keeping their progress on track and helping them build the skills, confidence and qualifications needed to move forward into employment, training or further education.You''ll cover a range of subjects and sessions at short notice, working with learners who have a wide range of educational backgrounds, learning needs and abilities. Many of your learners will have had difficult experiences of education, so patience, flexibility and a genuine belief in each individual''s potential will matter as much as your teaching skill.Your responsibilities will include:Delivering planned lessons in the absence of the usual tutor, maintaining continuity of learning.Adapting quickly to different subjects, groups and schemes of work.Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a calm, purposeful learning environment.Providing feedback to the regular tutor and the wider education team on learner progress during cover sessions.Supporting learners with a wide range of educational backgrounds, learning needs and abilities.What We''re ..... full job details .....
