Supply Desk are seeking a professional, passionate, and dedicated Cover Teacher to join welcoming and inclusive secondary schools in the Watford area, starting this September.
This full-time role is ideal for a teacher who enjoys working across Key Stages 3 and 4 and is confident delivering lessons across a range of secondary subjects. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment while ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
You will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons, managing classroom behaviour, monitoring student engagement and supporting students with their learning. The role also offers opportunities to become involved in extra-curricular activities and wider school initiatives, helping to enrich the educational experience for all students.

Responsibilities:
• Deliver pre-prepared lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Maintain a positive, safe and well-managed classroom environment
• Monitor and support students'' engagement, behaviour and progress
• Follow lesson plans and school policies to ensure continuity of learning
• Liaise with teaching staff regarding student progress, behaviour and any relevant concerns
• Contribution to extra-curricular activities and after-school clubs
• Cooperation with colleagues in order to deliver the best possible outcomes
Requirements:
• Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)
• Secondary classroom experience
• Passion for the development of learning
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Adaptability and confidence working across different year groups and subjects
• Inclusive ethics
• Knowledge/Maintenance/Promotion of safeguarding
