If so, we want to hear from you.Academics is working closely with secondary schools across Southampton to recruit Cover Supervisors and Instructors for this academic year. These roles are ideal for those considering a career in teaching, as well as experienced educators looking for flexible, rewarding work.You''ll be delivering pre-prepared lessons, managing classroom behaviour, and ensuring students stay engaged in their learning in the absence of the usual class teacher. While the work is often general cover, we can also place you in subject-specific roles that suit your background or interests.To be considered, you will need:A UK-recognised degreeSome experience teaching, tutoring, or working with young people in an educational settingStrong classroom and behaviour management skillsThe ability to build rapport quickly with students and staffA DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for oneWe offer both daily supply and longer-term contracts, giving you the flexibility to choose the type of work that suits your goals.
