The School and the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in North Manchester on a full-time cover starting September 2026.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will take responsibility for leading classes in the absence of the teacher, delivering pre-set lesson plans and maintaining a positive learning environment. You’ll support students with their work, manage behaviour effectively, complete registers, and provide clear handover information to teaching staff.

You’ll be joining a dedicated and collaborative school, with access to good facilities, specialist resources, and free onsite parking.

Requirements (Please Apply Only If You Meet the Below)

To be considered for this Cover Supervisor role, you must:

• Have previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor in secondary schools
• Be confident managing classrooms and maintaining a calm, focused learning environment
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be committed to supporting young people’s learning and development
• Be able to provide suitable references, hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS, and have the Right to Work in the UK
