Cover Supervisor - High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire A secondary school in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire is looking for an experienced Cover Supervisor who can confidently take responsibility for classes when their usual teacher is unavailable. Key responsibilities:Supervise classes across a range of subjects and year groups.Deliver instructions and lesson materials prepared by teaching staff.Establish clear expectations from the beginning of each lesson.Manage behaviour consistently in line with school policies.Encourage pupils to remain engaged and complete their work.Identify when pupils require additional clarification or support.Record and communicate relevant information to teaching staff.Support a calm, respectful and productive classroom environment.Ensure learning continues effectively during staff absence. You will be suited to this position if you are:Experienced - You have worked within a secondary school or similar education environment and understand the expectations of pupils and staff.Engaging - You can communicate clearly, build rapport with pupils and encourage them to participate without compromising classroom expectations.Professional - You understand safeguarding and the importance of being a reliable member of the school team.A teaching qualification is not essential for the role, but previous experience working with secondary pupils and managing classrooms is required.
