You will play an important role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising students during lessons in the absence of their usual teacher.The successful candidate will be working across a range of subjects, following lesson plans and ensuring students remain engaged, focused and well behaved.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise classes of secondary-aged students in the absence of their regular teacher.Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students complete the work provided.Maintain a positive, calm and purposeful classroom environment.Manage student behaviour in line with the academy''s behaviour policies.Support students with their learning where appropriate.Take registers and accurately record attendance.Ensure students remain on task and complete the work set.Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding lesson progress and any behavioural or learning issues.Follow school safeguarding, health and safety and other relevant policies.Build positive and professional ..... full job details .....
