Cover Supervisor – The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising students across the school and ensuring they remain on task during lessons.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4 during teacher absences

• Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials and ensuring students understand the tasks set

• Maintaining good classroom behaviour and applying the school’s behaviour policies

• Keeping students focused, engaged and working productively

• Supporting students with instructions and learning activities where appropriate

• Managing the classroom confidently and responding to any issues that arise

• Reporting back to teaching staff on lesson progress and any behaviour concerns

• Following school policies and safeguarding procedures

• Supporting the wider school team when required

Cover Supervisor – The School
