Cover Supervisor

This is a rewarding opportunity to work with students who require additional support to re-engage with education and achieve positive outcomes.As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-planned lessons across a broad and varied curriculum, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of teaching staff. The successful candidate will be comfortable working across a range of subjects and able to quickly establish positive, productive learning environments.A key aspect of this role is the ability to effectively manage behaviour. Our students may present with social, emotional and behavioural needs, so we are looking for someone who can build strong relationships, remain calm under pressure, set clear boundaries, and consistently apply behaviour strategies to support engagement and learning.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and deliver lessons across a mixed secondary curriculum using prepared resources.Maintain a positive, safe, and structured learning environment.Manage student behaviour effectively, using restorative and trauma-informed approaches where appropriate.Support students to remain engaged with learning and achieve their individual targets.Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and senior leaders to support student progress.Record ..... full job details .....
