Salary: £110 - £130 per day depending on experience

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of welcoming mainstream secondary schools across Sheffield. These schools are committed to providing a positive learning environment where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential, supported by dedicated staff teams and strong leadership.

The schools are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor on either a part-time or full-time basis from September 2026. The successful Cover Supervisor will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects, managing classroom behaviour, ensuring students remain on task, and supporting the smooth running of the school day.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• Experience working with young people in an educational setting
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• The confidence to lead classes across a variety of subject areas
• A flexible and adaptable approach to work
• A positive, proactive and professional attitude
